Effective communication is the backbone of a successful campaign. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a new feature within Race Roster’s CRM—email campaign metrics! This enhancement empowers you with the insights you need to fine-tune your strategies and maximize the impact of your email outreach efforts.

What’s new?

With Race Roster’s CRM email campaign metrics, you can now:

  • Track delivery performance: Understand how your emails are performing with real-time metrics for delivered, bounced (soft or hard), failed emails, and unsubscribes. See how many emails reach inboxes versus those that bounce, fail due to invalid addresses or previous unsubscribes, or lead to new unsubscribes. The unsubscribe widget shows the exact number of recipients who clicked unsubscribe, giving you insights into engagement beyond delivery issues.
  • Comprehensive campaign insights: Navigate to the email metrics page to see a detailed breakdown of all your campaigns, whether you want to view performance over the past 7 days, 30 days, or last year.
  • Search and filter specific campaigns: Customize your analysis by filtering to review the performance of individual email campaigns. This level of granularity helps you identify which approaches are working best.
  • Preview your campaign with test emails: Our new feature lets you send test emails to any address, giving you a clear view of your campaign as it will appear to recipients. You can also choose a contact from your target report to replace merge tags with real data, ensuring your content looks polished and works flawlessly.

Why it matters

Email metrics aren’t just numbers—they’re insights that guide decision-making. By staying on top of these benchmarks, you can:

  • Increase email deliverability: Understand and address why certain emails fail to land in an inbox and refine your lists for better future performance.
  • Improve recipient engagement: Align your campaigns with what resonates most by learning from the performance data of past emails.
  • Save valuable time and resources: Focus your energy on strategies that drive results, rather than guessing what works.
  • Ensure a polished send: Use test emails to preview and confirm the final look, links, merge tags, and formatting, avoiding unnecessary errors before your campaign reaches your audience.

How it works

Getting started is simple! Navigate to the email metrics page within your Race Roster CRM. From there:

  • Access all-time campaign data or narrow it down to specific timeframes using our pre-set filters.
  • View performance metrics for each campaign and adjust your strategies based on insights.
  • Filter campaigns individually for more focused performance reviews.
  • Send test emails before launching, so you and others you share with can see exactly how it looks

This feature ensures that understanding your audience’s response to your communication is quick, intuitive, and actionable.

Race Roster

At our core, we are event organizers and athletes serving event organizers and athletes. Race Roster was founded by a group of friends with combined interests in running, technology, and event management. After organizing their own 10K in 2010, it was very apparent that the running industry was in dire need of better technology. Since May of 2012, Race Roster has partnered with over 4,000 organizers to grow, manage and execute on race day!
